Boboutic
Boboutic is a Italian luxury niche knitwear company based in Florence, Italy, creating effortless relaxed, understated elegant clothing. It is a brand, constantly evolving, and exploring new techniques and materials.
Knitwear designer Michel Bergamo and architect/photographer Christina Zamagni created the brand in 2001 after a long career in fashion and arts with a desire to take everyday experience and inject it into their knitwear. In 2012, the duo was joined by fashion designer Niccolò Magrelli.
Together they create innovative pieces in which traditional knit-and-stitch techniques are combined with constant research for new materials and production methods.
One of their objectives is to find new ways for the knitwear to tell its own story. The yarn, considered as an endless line, is ideally kept intact by rejecting the use of scissors in the making of the garments. Boboutic designers consider knits an ideal medium, since its versatility allows conceiving unique surfaces and unexpected shapes. Boboutic’s approach to knitwear is unpredictable, aiming at creating a product where materials and structures complement each other.
