Christian Peau

Based in Kobe, Japan, founder of the brand Christian Peau, Junji Koike creates leather bags of exceptional quality with butter-soft finish, each presented in a raw and yet polished way. Junji draws upon eighteenth century European crafting traditions in his leather works as well as his clothing. In his clothing collection he often repurposes antique jacquards and mid-twentieth century Japanese kinsha silks. The combination of raw and polished make his designs distinct.
